CCC is a certification mark, as intended to be used by authorized persons and organizations, is intended to certify that the goods or services have been provided by entities engaged in fair and ethical trading, environmental sustainability, administrative transparency, environmental transformation in the nature of environmental responsibility, social transformation in the nature of social and cultural responsibility and justice, or charitable giving pursuant to the guidelines, requirements, or standards provided or adopted by the certifier, Compassionate Economy.
We believe that the key first step to achieving all of the above is the permanent eradication of hunger, worldwide. With the eradication of hunger, humanity will have taken its first step toward the radical social transformation the world so badly needs. This social transformation is vital for humanity to become a compassionate species. This compassion, once completely demonstrated to all of humanity, by all of humanity, will then naturally extend to all species and ecosystems. The first step is the eradication of hunger, and this is reflected in the definition of the CCC standard, which follows.
The Definition of the Standard CCC
To earn the designation “CCC”, a company or organization must commit to, and diligently deliver on, donating 100% of the organization’s after-tax profit to ending world hunger. Operationally, this means donating all such profits to non-profit organizations committed to ending hunger, such as those which engage in feeding entire communities, such as the Community Cafes for example.
Additionally, each CCC company must commit to practicing best efforts in being environmentally sustainable, engaging in fair trade, and in being socially transformational in all its practices. Likewise, each CCC company commits to documenting such best practices, and constantly seeking to improve.
